Because the spermatic cord had been mobilized twice previously, the collateral blood supply to the testis was probably marginal, and it was elected to remove the testis. Traction on the distal cord was used to deliver the testis (see radical orchiectomy ).

A small hydrocele within the tunica vaginalis around the testis (see hydrocele repair ) was entered during mobilization.
