The seventh phase consisted of drain placement and closure. A 10 mm closed suction drain was placed in the lesser sac and brought out via port 2. The specimen was removed through a transverse incision connecting the two left flank port sites (3 and 4).

The specimen contained clear watery fluid. A frozen section diagnosis of pseudocyst was based on the absence of epithelium.
