The jejunal loop was positioned for the biliary anastomosis. The serosa of the back wall of the jejunum was tacked to Gerota's fascia behind the bile duct for support. The bile duct end lies just below the vessel loop on the right gastric artery.

An opening was made in the jejunum and a single layer anastomosis was made between bile duct and full thickness jejunum using 4-0 interrupted braided absorbable sutures. The anterior wall of the jejunum was tacked to the remnant of the falciform ligament.
