A 22-year-old woman was found to have a left posterior cerebral AVM on an MRI done to work up a seizure.

The PA view angiogram shows the cortical AVM being supplied by a dominant branch of the left middle cerebral artery and draining via a dominant venous channel into the superior sagittal sinus (see brain circulation).

The lateral view shows the feeding vessel to be the angular branch of the middle cerebral. There was minimal contribution from the posterior circulation.
