The mass could be seen as an increased density on X-ray.

MRI showed a well-encapsulated 5 x 4 cm mass in the anterior subcutaneous soft tissue of the proximal thigh. There was heterogeneous enhancement with gadolinium, without abnormal signal in the adjacent muscle to suggest invasion.
