A 33-year old man undergoing a work up for trauma was discovered to have a lesion in the left posterior cranial fossa. The lesion's location at the tenrorium, enhancement with contrast, and its MRI signal characteristics were consistent with meningioma. The patient was neurologically asymptomatic. The patient was presented the options of observation and surgery, and elected surgery.

The patient was positioned prone with the head fixed in Mayfield tongs. The patient was given 10 mg of decadron, to counteract brain swelling.
