The tumor was uniform, pale tan and well encapsulated. The remainder of the testicle appeared normal. Preliminary impression was an epidermoid tumor of the testis (one of the three components of testicular teratoma). Due to the benign appearance of the lesion, no diagnostic lymph node dissection was considered, pending final path results. The final diagnosis was epidermoid tumor.
