Here a side branch connection to the tumor is being stimulated. In addition to having visualized the vagus earlier, there was no vocal cord stimulation detected from the tumor branches.

At the lower pole of the tumor, a continuation nerve trunk was found.

Two neural structures were isolated at the lower pole consistent with a sympathetic trunk, and a superior cervical sympathetic cardiac nerve.
