The plastic surgeon worked in conjunction with an orthopedic surgeon to remove the portion of exposed clavicle and clean the wound site. Additionally a tunnel was created between anterior chest wall and shoulder just deep to subcutaneous fat.

While pulling the flap through the tunnel, it is important to consider shearing forces so skin is not avulsed while flap is passed through tunnel.

When insetting the flap at the wound site it is critical to not twist or kink the pedicle so as not to compromise the blood supply.
