A 28-year-old man presented with a several week history of persistent mid-abdominal pain. Laboratory values and physical examination were unremarkable. Abdominal CT scan showed a retrocaval mass encroaching on the origins of celiac trunk branches and SMA. Percutaneous biopsy was read as neurofibroma.

The tumor is highlighted in this series. There was no family history of neurofibroma-associated syndrome. Head CT was negative for other neural lesions, and chemistries for pheochromocytoma were negative.
