The external iliac vein was exposed medial to the psoas muscle at the pelvic brim. The vas is to the left, the artery to the right, and the genitofemoral branch of the genitofemoral nerve at the tip of the instrument.

The posterior peritoneum was peeled back and internal spermatic vessels exposed, demonstrating the absence of an indirect sac.

The pubis is shown in relation to the tortuous vessel. The completed dissection on the left exposes the inguinal floor (see TAPP, frame 7laparoscopic hernia anatomy) consisting of direct, indirect and femoral spaces and the obturator space below the superior pubic ramus.
