A normal celiac angiogram is shown. The historical teaching that the majority of lower GI bleeds originate from an upper GI source (ulcer) is no longer valid with the decreased prevalence of ulcer disease due to H-2 blocker/proton pump inhibitor use and h. pylori treatment.
