Trapezius Intramuscular Lipoma: 1

   
 

A 40-year-old woman presented with a several month history of a soft mass between the medial border of the left scapula and the spine. On contraction of the trapezius the mass lost its mobility and a clinical diagnosis of intramuscular lipoma was made.

MRI confirmed the lipoma to be within the trapezius.

The patient was taken to the operating room for excision of the lipoma under local anesthesia.
