Recurrent Anal Cancer: 1

   
 

A 66-year-old man had a recurrent anal lesion following chemoradiation (Nigro protocol) treatment of squamous cell anal carcinoma. Metastatic workup including rectal ultrasound and CT scan was negative for nodal or distant disease.

The patient was taken to the operating room for biopsy confirmation of recurrence. The lesion is shown at the 11:00 position with the patient in lithotomy.
