A 62-year-old man underwent screening virtual colonoscopy (1.25-mm sections reconstructed at 1-mm intervals). A mass effect was seen compressing the medial wall of the cecum. A posterior 3-D view is shown.
The internal view shows the bulge above the ileocecal valve.

A coronal cut from the virtual colonoscopy study shows a tubular, 10 x 5 x 5-cm heterogeneous low-density smooth globular mass with thin internal septations projecting off the medial wall of the cecum. No adenopathy was seen.
