A 72-year-old woman was found to have a thickened fold of mucosa in the left colon on routine colonoscopy. Biopsy showed dysplasia with an area of invasive adenocarcinoma. The biopsy site was marked with ink injection.
The patient was taken to the operating room for laparoscopic left colon resection. She was placed in modified lithotomy position and a Foley catheter was placed.
