Double Bypass for Duodenal Carcinoma: 4

A stent was placed in the common bile duct to relieve the cholangitis. Work-up revealed retroperitoneal para-aortic metastatic disease. It was not technically possible to place a wall stent to relieve the duodenal narrowing. The patient underwent four weeks of chemoradiation in preparation for palliative double bypass.
